Garlic Planting Day at Adama Farm
Sunday, October 20, 2025 | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Adama Farm – Marengo, IL
Garlic planting is one of the biggest days of the year on the farm — and we’d love for you to join us!
Together we’ll crack garlic seed, carefully space it into our no-till beds, and cover it with straw mulch to “tuck it in” for the winter. With enough helping hands, this big job becomes light work, full of learning, community, and fun.
No need to RSVP, just show up!
What to Expect:
Hands-on learning in regenerative, no-till garlic planting
A full day of work (on hands and knees, with plenty of breaks)
Covering the beds with straw to protect the garlic through winter
1 hour lunch break at noon
What to Bring:
Work gloves
Solid shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
Lunch + a reusable water bottle
A positive attitude and willingness to work hard!
Snacks will be provided, and as a thank you for helping out, you’ll get to take home some freshly harvested produce from our fields. 🌿
