About adama Farm

About Adama Farm:

Adama Farm is a no-till and regenerative, fruit, vegetable and flower farm in Northern IL. Our mission is to build soil health, increase biodiversity and strengthen community through growing regenerative food. We believe building great soil comes before growing great food!

Adama Farm is built on a firm faith foundation that seeks to bring heavenly Kingdom values to the farm through land stewardship, community gathering and rich educational opportunities.

At Adama Farm, we do not till. Aside from opening our plots initially, we practice no-till farming for a variety of reasons:

  • Improved soil life and less soil compaction.

  • Increased soil tilth.

  • Less dependence on machinery.

  • Increased water holding capacity and resistance to drought.

We use no pesticides of any kind. We believe that chemicals and sprays, certified organic or not, should not be applied to the food grown at Adama Farm. Adama Farm is chemical free and pesticide free.

We welcome visitors on the farm, however we ask that all visitors are mindful and respectful of our farmers, land and space as a whole.

All are welcome to enjoy the farm store and the enchanting sitting areas and gardens throughout the property.

History:

Adama Farm was originally known as Cherry Lane Farm, owned by Trudi Temple — well known gardener, entrepreneur and founder of Market Day. Trudi’s love for gardening is well displayed on the 73 acer property. Age-old benches, heirlooms, perennials and beautiful gardens abound is just a slight reflection of Trudi’s hard work and creativity.

Motivated more by a vision than experience, Jessica Davies acquired the property — now known as Adama Farm, in 2023.

About The Owner:

Jessica Davies is the founder and owner of Adama Farm, a small-scale, no-till, regenerative farm in Marengo, Illinois. A first-generation farmer, Jessica’s journey began with a deep calling to live in closer connection with the land and to grow food. After years of apprenticing on farms across the United States, she developed a passion for regenerative agriculture — farming methods that restore soil health, protect biodiversity, and produce nutrient dense food. Jessica sees agriculture not just as her profession, but as her ministry

Today, Jessica leads Adama Farm, balances the demands of production farming with her mission to cultivate beauty, nourish her community, and care for the land as a faithful steward.
